Behavioral Research Institute addresses the mental health issues of students and their families in Cleveland/Bradley County through a series of training classes, mental health professionals work with students and families referred by early childhood centers, both school districts, or other agencies.

The BRI staff works with parents in the area of internet security and cyber abuse of children. They also train Head Start staff to identify and help to prevent violent behavioral tendencies in young children as well as assist with other psychosocial and emotional issues.

BRI is dedicated to providing services to children and families for the purpose of preventing child abuse and family violence.

Governing Board
BRI is governed by a board of 13 voluntary directors. Three directors are from McMinn County and nine are from Bradley County and one from Meigs County

Parenting classes are open to citizens of Bradley County, McMinn, Polk, Meigs, and Rhea Counties free of charge. Call for class and location and time.

Domestic Violence Group members are referred by the court or self-referred. A small fee is charged. The program if fully state certified.

The agency staff are uniquely trained and have specialized in treating sexual abuse, physical abuse, and neglect of children, as well as, teaching nonviolent parenting.

Cost of Services
Behavioral Research Institute is a nonprofit agency. The fees for child abuse prevention classes and anger management classes are provided by state grants.
